Hockey World Cup in 90 Seconds – The Final Day

The Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup came to a dramatic end overnight with Belgium becoming the sixth team to lift the coveted trophy, after defeating the Netherlands in a shoot-out.  

In the Bronze medal match Australia ripped England to pieces and claimed third place at a canter with an 8-1 victory. England ended in fourth for the third World Championships in a row. 

The post match honours were shared between Australia, (Blake Govers Top scorer) Belgium (Arthur van Doren Player of Tournament, & Alexander Hendrickx Top scorer) and The Netherlands (Pirmin Blaak Best Goalkeeper), while India won the award for the best goal celebration?!
