Tomorrow could be D-Day for West Ham and their hopes to make the Olympic Stadium their home away from Upton Park. Lord Mayor of London Boris Johnson issued the club with a deadline of tomorrow to formalise the legal and financial details including how the GBP160Million costs to convert to a football stadium will be covered.

According to Hammers CEO Karren Brady “Its as if Boris is on the penalty spot and only needs to roll the ball into the net.”

West Ham’s game against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on the 25th is almost sold out which will make it the clubs 12th successive sold out game, which is great news, but many wonder whether the club would ever be able to come close to selling out the Olympic stadium, and if it would not ultimately saddle the club with a debt they do not need.

That decision may well be taken out of their hands but a bigger one remains in terms of what happens to the wonderful Olympic Stadium?
