As his footballing career wanes due to injuries it was announced last week that the three-time world player of the year Ronaldo was to star in a film about a Palestinian child fan of his who dies in a refugee camp.
Ronaldo is scheduled to be with his club Corinthians in the Middle East – for a Sept 15 friendly in the Palestinian Territories against fellow Brazilians Fluminense.
Hopefully he will perform well and the project does not become embroiled in politics, although the star could well be making a statement of his own accepting the role?
