It was interesting to read on the Football west Website today the instruction to clubs to charge the same admission fees for games in the State League. Hopefully they have also sent all of the clubs concerned a letter as if they have only posted this on the website it is unlikely to have a great affect.
Another thing that needs to be addressed is the matter of programs. If you turn up for just the first team, invariably this season there are no programs left, most having been taken for the reserves and the under 18’s. The first team is the show case game and there should be team sheets with accurate team lists for people coming to watch.
One thing that was excellent a week ago was the ground announcer at Inglewood going slow enough with his team announcements that people could actually make changes to the numbers to make sure they knew who they were watching. Other announcers please make note.
Simple things that make such a big difference to the whole game experience.
I have always believed the game would benefit from a universal program and looked at it a few years ago but the clubs did not see m interested.
Yes I would look at if asked, and yes I would tender if one was offered. – Thanks for thinking we could do it!
The Program issue is a joke, but its another cost to the clubs and you can tell they have cut back on costs, hence no programs by 3pm..
Why doesn’t football west tender for the production of a atate league program?
Would you do one if offered?
