Why is it every four years FIFA and Adidas decide to introduce a new ball at the World cup, yet not allow the players to use it until they go into camp? It is totally ridiculous and even more so with this tournament which will see games played at altitude.
At the Confederations Cup last year all games were played at altitude and only two free kicks resulted in goals, and that was with a ball the players were used to.
Fans want to see the best players in the world playing the best football they can. The best players want to pit their skills against the best.
Why can’t the World Cup ball be used in every major league around the world for the season prior to the World Cup so that we all get what we want?
Instead we get Jabulani!

Mate it’s an advertisers dream – any publicity is good publicity… and honestly in the 2nd round of the group stages the whole ball debacle has just about subsided…
I totally agree with you, its crazy to introduce a new ball just before the world cup, I guess its financially motivated, like most things associated with the sport these days.
