Some athletes will do anything to win, and it would appear that some will do anything not to get caught cheating.
Italian anti doping authorities have started an investigation into long distance runner Devis Liccardi after he allegedly tried to bypass a drugs test by using a fake penis.
It has been reported that following the national 10km Championships on September 21st Liccardi was asked to give a urine sample. While obliging the authorities it is alleged that they discovered him trying to syphon off clean urine through a fake penis.
The athlete now will face questioning from the Italian anti doping prosecutor. Liccardi currently runs for the Italian Air Force team.
