The selection wars continue in Great Britain as it looks like being a case of the best QCs rather than PB’s with the Games a month away.
Incredibly two army pistol shooters Morgan Cook and Ian Jack have been omitted from the GB team despite achieving the qualifying mark. That may not sound unreasonable if it was deemed there were better shooters, but in their wisdom the disciplines that they take part in have no home competitors taking part. Great Britain will not be represented.
With another selection debate in the trap shooting, and legal challenges being made in diving fencing and judo, it really is spicing up the lead up to the Opening of the London Games 2012.
As Director of Performance Sir Clive Woodward stated “Selection is emotive.”
