Congratulations to Lauren Mitchell and her team of Coaches at WAIS on their combined success at the Gymnastics World Championships; Mitchell winning two silver medals on the Floor and the Beam.
Her two medals capped off an outstanding world championships campaign for Mitchell, who just missed out on a medal in the women’s all-around final. Finishing in fourth place, Mitchell missed the bronze medal by just 0.025.
Can Australia finally dream of a medal at the Olympics in 2012. Mitchell and head coach Liz Chekovitch both believe so.
Congratulations must also go to Australia’s Prashanth Sellathurai who won bronze on the Pommel Horse, which meant that Australia had its best World Championships ever. He too is a definte medal contender come London in 2012.
