Tonight on Not the Footy Show – 10 March 2010

You win some, you lose some, that is what sport is all about, and with every defeat you should become stronger. Tonight we will catch up with some athletes who have tasted victory, some defeat and some who are raring to compete.

So strap yourself in and tune into the Sports show that is exactly that, a show dedicated to a number of sports!

Motor racing
The Des Alfirevich inspired Australasian Junior Sedan Championship and Australia Vs New Zealand took place at the Perth Motorplex last weekend and tonight we catch up with WA captain Kelly McArthur to find out how Western Australia fared.

Volleyball
Josh Court and Michael Snart took out the national under 23 beach volleyball title recently and tonight we catch up with Josh. Amazingly all of the semi finalists in this competition came from Western Australia.

Rowing
WAIS scholarship holder Todd Skipworth recently won gold at the national rowing championships and to night he will join us to talk us through that victory, and also taking part in the Hawaiian Iron Man late last year.

Winter Paralympics
The Winter Paralympics get under way on March 12th and we will cross to Vancouver to talk to Australia’s Chef de Mission Michael Hartung about who are medal hopes are and in what events.

Rugby Union
After a bye last week the Emirates Western Force are back on the paddock this weekend when they take on the Queensland Reds, and we will talk to prop Nic Henderson.

Crossfit games
The sectional qualifiers for the Crossfit games 2010 are about to commence in Australia this weekend and we catch up with Stef Sifandos from The Cell in Fremantle who is hoping to progress through to the national event.

Netball
West Coast Fever went to Sydney last weekend for the pre-season tournament and almost achieved their goal of winning the tournament. With a week until their opening game new recruit Sarah Ebbott joins us to review the weekend’s work.
