It should not come as any surprise that all of the key personnel behind the London Olympic and Paralympic Games success are now very much in demand.
Lord Coe is a fairly obvious first on the wish list to chair the British Olympic Association. Chief Executive Paul Deighton, the man credited with brining the Games in under budget, is heading into Politics and taking up a position in the House of Lords as a not surprisingly a Treasury Minister. While Sports director Debbie Jevans has been hired by Rugby’s 2015 World Cup.
Sir Craig Reedie who was part of London’s original bid and was a board member of LOCOG has become a commissioner for the IOC and will be assessing the bids from Madrid, Tokyo and Istanbul to host the 2020 Games. He will lead a team of eight who will examine the three cities and make their final decision about a host city in October 2013.
