First all-female yacht crew wins America’s Cup
Amercia3 became the first all female crew to win an America’s Cup race when they beat four-time champion Dennis Connor in Stars & Stripes by 69 seconds in the defenders trials off San Diego. Stars & Stripes went on to win the series, but Connor elected to sail Young America in the Cup defence and crashed 5-0 to New Zealand’s Black Magic.
