It is not often you have a tie in any sporting Championships. Usually there is some way of separating those tied for first. That was not the case in the Australian Boomerang Championships and we catch up with one of those who tied for first place, Grant Perry. For those who may think that this should not be a sport listen in as you will hear the skill and fitness required to compete at such a high level. As you will also hear the sport is looking for more women to get involved so for any who fancy challenging for a National title and heading to the World Championships contact your national association.
In our topics under discussion John looks at the very divisive topic of Naomi Osaka’s withdrawal from the French Open Tennis tournament. How much are the media to blame? Should press conferences be managed better and should the focus remain solely on the tournament being played? Should players have the option of attending press conferences and their price money reduced should they opt out of them? So many questions that can be asked, as for the answers everyone will have a different opinion, but hopefully our discussion will make people think about this situation more and accept that it is not necessarily as straightforward as some have tried to make it out to be.
Ashley looks at how the first World Test Cricket Championship will be decided. How can this game to decide the best Test team in the world be allowed to finish in a draw? Should this be a real test of skill and fitness and a timeless test? Or should it be a series and the best of three?
