The second show of 2021 is here and as usual some interesting topics under the microscope and with our special guest we look at an area of the sports industry that many have forgotten, but one in which the experts are finding life incredibly hard.
.Once again we have a wonderful guest lined up for you. How many of you pick up a newspaper, magazine or a book and marvel at the wonderful photographs of various sportsmen and women? During the Covid 19 Pandemic one area of the sports industry that has been greatly impacted is that of the Sports Photographer. On this show we catch up with Tim Clayton who in his career has won eight World Press Photo awards including three first places. Tim shares some secrets of his trade and also his journey so far, and the impact the Pandemic has had.
In our topics under discussion John looks at the biggest sporting event in the World, the Super Bowl, and asks the question how good is Tom Brady? Is he now one of the greatest male athletes? When did he learn his craft? Was it before he was given an opportunity in the starting line-up? Are modern day players and coaches too impatient, and is Tom Brady the perfect example of an athlete maturing later in his career.
Ashley goes into a world that he is not an expert, technology. He scratches the surface on how sports need to be careful handing over their events to apps. For it is these apps that are going to be where sponsors will spend their money in the next five to ten years according to some experts. The reason being the apps that we download are giving them specific information about each of us that they can then tap into. Our profiles are going to see some sponsors of sport leave the sporting teams we love, and instead sponsor the apps on which those sports appear. Are our sporting teams and Associations ready for this transition?
