On this show we take a slightly different path with our special guest Lisa Wilson who is heading to Australia as an Ambassador for the Transplant Games. A sports festival for those who have undergone a transplant thanks to organ donation. Lisa lost her son in a freak hockey training accident but his memory lives on through the 50 people his organs his people have helped since his passing. Lisa has been fortunate to meet two of those who have participated in the Transplant Games. This is an interview not to be missed and will hopefully encourage many to commit to being organ donors.

Should this decision not fall to the International Sporting Federations and their member nations?
John stays with the topic of the Olympic Games and the Australian need for a $2billion injection of funds to assure gold medals in the “green and gold decade” leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. Matt Carroll of the Australian Olympic Committee was reported as telling the Press Club that this is what is needed if Australian athletes are to medal in 2032. Which sports will receive this funding? How many already have government funding? Why should they get more and why are they so reliant on Government hand-outs?
