Live sport is all about entertainment, so why do paying fans have to endure speeches that kill rather than help build the atmosphere leading to a big game?
In this show we look at this as well as the issue of Welcome to Country in Australia and whether the current methods are helping convey the message that is trying to be shared. Is there a better way that is more inclusive and educational? We catch up Emma Gibbens and Rhys Paddick from “Acknowledge This” specialists in cultural education and change.
In our last show for 2022 and following the request from Football for more Government funding, Ashley asks whether an audit should be carried out before any more money is given to teh sport to find out where the millions of dollars given have been spent. He also asks whether a review should be undertaken into the way the sport is run around the country and the duplication of staff around the country is necessary and money well spent.
John, opts to take a swipe at the world’s best footballers in the wake of the controversial Qatar World Cup coming to an end. Was there more posturing that actually doing. Hear his view, but bear in mind that some players may well have taken action but away from the public eye.
