After watching Fox Sports excellent reflective piece on the past ten years of Australian football on Fox Sports FC this week a question popped into my head.
Where is the old NSL trophy?
Surely as the last winners of the competition, the Perth Glory should have been allowed to keep the trophy, especially as the club is still in existence.
I have not seen it in the offices at ME Bank Stadium, so can anyone shed any light as to where it may be?
Maybe Nik Mrdja who scored the deciding goal has it in his wardrobe; maybe Nick Tana has it sitting at home to remind him of the millions he spent putting Perth Glory on the map.
Surely it can’t be in the FFA offices, as they do not want to acknowledge that the competition existed?
If anyone knows where it is we would love to know.
