The Olympics always turn up great stories, but the one about Florence Parks at the Vancouver Winter Olympics will take some beating.
Florence was born in New York City on November 16 1903. Just three years ago she met some Canadians who were on a cruise. Florence at the time was 103 years old. They stayed in touch and invited her up to Vancouver for the Winter Olympic games.
As she had never attended an Olympics in her 106 years on this earth, she took them up on their offer and sat in the front row of the sold out Curling event on Thursday.
Now that is something worth living for!
