Rumour has it that a lack of interest in a fixture against Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers by the state body Football West in Western Australia when the midlands side comes down under in July could see Robbie Fowler’s North Queensland Fury headover to Perth. It would certainly be a drawcard if Fowler were to come and take on players he has been playing against in the past few seasons. However at the same time it is a missed opportunity for the cream of the WA state league who may have had a chance to pit their skills against a Premier League side, albeit with some support from Perth Glory’s fringe players. After all wasn’t Stan Lazarides picked up by West Ham United following his performance against the Londoners for Western Australia?
Fowler to meet Wolves?
