It was sad to see a major newspaper in Australia claim that snowboarder and Winter Olympic medal chance, Torah Bright was a ‘disappointment in the scandal stakes.” Since when does an athlete have to be judged on their scandal ratings?
The paper went on to belittle Bright’s Mormon beliefs, and the fact that she has sworn off alcohol, tea, coffee, smoking and sex before marriage.
Surely she deserves to be admired for having the professionalism to reach the pinnacle in her sport and have, what are classified as old fashioned morals. She should be applauded and put forward as the ideal role model.
Good Luck Torah.
