One hundred caps in any sport is a hell of an achievement, and most sporting fans would applaud and appreciate any player who achieved such a milestone.
It was therefore sad to witness two weeks in a row, the television stations from New Zealand and Australia, failing to feature this week an interview with Springbok Victor Matfield following their victory over the Wallabies, and the week before cutting away from local coverage and a presentation to Springbok captain John Smit, following the ‘boks loss to the All Blacks, for an interview with Richie McCaw, when we had already witnessed one with the South African coverage.
Am I a lone voice or was this both rude and disrespectful to both the players concerned and also the average sports fan?
