Tonight on Not the Footy Show – 22 April 09

Tonight’s show will be coming to you live from the official opening of Perth’s first new Squash centre in 20 years, The Squash Factory in Wangara.

It may therefore come as no surprise that a with the array of talent on show at the opening, we will be featuring the racquet sport heavily throughout the show.

Former double winning World Open champion, and current reigning Australian and British Open Champion David Palmer will join us prior to taking the court for his exhibition match.

Kelly Jarrett the reigning world triathlon champion in her age group and the highest ranked amateur in Australia will join us and tell us how her preparations are going for the Hawaiian Ironman.

Just as she promised would happen on last week’s show the West Coast Fever won their first home game, in the ANZ Championship so Joh Curran will join us why it all went right and how they plan to build on this victory.

Zac Alexander is an up and coming star of Australian Squash and he will join us to tell us how his first year on the overseas circuit went and how he feels to be playing David Palmer tonight.

The Emirates Western Force achieved the triple crown at the weekend when they beat the Waratahs, which in turn meant they had beaten all of the Australian Super Rugby teams. We will catch up with one of the team to discuss this win and this weekend’s clash with the Lions at Subiaco.
