Tonight on Not the Footy Show – 08 April 09

Another week passes and another show for sports fans is ready to go air.

Tonight we will talk SAQ with Alan Pearson. Not sure what SAQ is? Well tune in and find out, all we will say is the England Rugby team used it when they won the World Cup, Bayern Munich use it as do the England Special Olympics team. If you are serious about your sport maybe you should.

Last week we could not wake Floorball’s Peter Harris from his jet-lagged sleep, so to talk about the Asia Pacific Championships we will catch up with Anthony Boteler.

Now the Victorians lay claim to the sport that we don’t mention, and to be honest who cares? But they are the only place that the sport of Trugo is played. This sport was dealt a blow last week, and so we will catch up with President of the Victorian Trugo Association Andrew MacMillan.

The Emirates Western Force kept their slim finals hopes alive with a good win over the Reds and we will be talking to one of their number leading up to this weekend’s clash with the Hurricanes.

We will feature motorcycling this week for the first time and will talk to Mandy Beales a woman excelling in what has tended to be a man’s world.

Susan Fuhrmann from the West Coast Fever will be joining us to give us the low down on round one and how they plan to bounce back this week.

The National Hockey League has come to an end for the Smokefree Diamonds but the Smokefree Thundersticks are still chasing back to back titles. Jayde Taylor will join us from Tasmania to bring us up to date on both teams performances.
