Tonight on Not the Footy Show – 03 Feb 2010

Wow! Can you believe it is February already? The Australian Open has come and gone for another year and the sports caravan continues on its familiar trip around the globe.

But here at “Not The Footy Show” we continue to try and bring you all the good and interesting stories in sport to brighten your day. Tonight is no exception.

Tonight’s guests include:

Amputee golf
Gary Hart is a former footballer who is an amputee and he has set up First Swing Clinics for amputees to learn or re-learn the game of golf. He will be in town next week conducting clinics.

Netball
Madison Browne moved to Perth last year to play for the West Coast Fever and was one of the success stories in the side. That success has lead to selection in the Diamonds Touring squad for the upcoming series against Scotland

Cycling
Matt Bissett is the event organiser of the Perth Criteriums which start around Perth on the 5th of this month and he will join us to tell us who and where to watch.

A-league football
Todd Howarth, gave up his banking job to follow his dream of being a professional footballer and has seized the opportunity establishing himself as a regular starter in the first team. Tonight he will talk about the mood in the camp now Finals football is back at Perth Glory.

Super sedan
Darren Larsen will be joining us to talk about the Super Sedan Summer Series and whether he can achieve a podium finish at the end of the season, and more importantly at the Kwinana Motorplex this weekend.

Rugby Union
Joelin Rapana from the Emirates Western Force will also be joining us following the clubs recent trip to South Africa, and will give us an insight as to how they are feeling about the coming Super 14 season.

Hockey
The Kookaburras defeated Korea 2-1 in their recent series losing the final game, we hope to catch up with one of the squad as to how coach Ric Charlesworth viewed the series and their development.
