Well said Ashley, it should happen, but you know as long as the same people are still in power nothing will change. They will promise change but not follow through. As the saying goes to many with their snouts in the trough. Sad but true. As you say they will not even face the public and have hidden for the last 3 weeks. Disgraceful and disgusting fro. All concerned.

We all agree that changes are needed at FW Board level . If a chairman does an outstanding job he or she should be elected again , in our FW things go from bad to worse and yet the chairman is asked to run for a 3rd term , even if it is illegal ! How is this possible and how can we believe that things will change ?

Correct, legally only the Standing Committees listed in the constitution have a vote come the AGM. The NPL clubs were warned of this before the start of the competition and three years in have still not had it changed.

The only Standing Committees with a vote should be as follows: (i) referees’Standing Committee, (ii) coaches’ Standing Committee, (iii) women’s Standing Committee, (iv) futsal Standing Committee, (v) juniors’ Standing Committee, (vi) men’s state league Standing Committee and
(vii) men’s social, amateur and masters’ Standing Committee. As these are the only ones listed in the legally binding constitution.

As you say only in our code!!!

So just to clarify, one of the biggest days in our local code for many years and the standing committee of the NPL cannot cast a vote yet they (supposedly) represent the objectives and wishes of all the clubs and stakeholders of our FLAGSHIP competition ???

    Only in our code….
