The Forgotten

She is the only British athlete to have participated in six Olympic Games, and was the first Black Athlete to win an Olympic Gold for the host nation of the Games in 2012, but she is currently causing a few red faces amongst the organisers.

The lady in question is Javelin Gold Medallist Tessa Sanderson who has been overlooked for any meaningful duties in the lead up to the Games, despite working with young athletes in the very heartland of the Games in the suburb of Newham. She has even had to buy her own tickets to watch the event that she won gold in, the Javelin.

Hopefully it is a simple oversight and the powers that be will put things right so that a person who is a big part of British Olympic history is made to feel a part of these Historic Games; London being the first city to host three Olympics.
