Brazilian footballer Neymar was sent off by the referee after his goal celebration which included wearing a mask… of his own face! Fans at the Copa Libertadores match had been issued with masks of Neymar’s face by his sponsor. When the 19-year-old prodigy scored, he ran towards the crowd and was given one of the masks by a fan. He promptly put in on, although sadly upside down, although this was we are told deliberate.
The referee was unsympathetic to his fun antics and gave him a second yellow card, resulting in red!
