Podcast #34 – Hockey, with New Kookaburras Coach Colin Batch, Netball and so much more…

We’re back! As usual plenty to discuss.

First of all thank you to Sean for his email suggesting a topic for discussion. To find out what he asked us to discuss download the podcast! If you have a topic you would like discussed message us via Facebook or the website.

On this show we have as our guest the Kookaburras new coach Colin Batch. Colin has returned to Australia after spells with the Belgians and the Black Sticks in New Zealand. He won gold working with Barry Dancer at the 2004 Olympic Games and is hoping to repeat that feat in three years time. His first test will be the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia -which Ashley will be commentating at – so we caught up to see if hockey fans can expect a new style from the Kookaburras.

In our topics under discussion John looks at the women’s Netball league and whether it is heading down a slippery slope. While Ashley questions the merit of the half time interview at live sporting events after several players and coaches commented that it was a waste of time and that they were never going to say anything of value!

What do you think?

We hope that you enjoy the show as usual and would love to hear your thoughts so feel free to share them with us, but no swearing please.
