Peaking at The Right Time

This year’s Super Bowl was edge of the seat stuff as the New York Giants edged out the New England Patriots and showed that it does not matter what has happened earlier in the season its all about peaking at the right time. A lesson for all teams with finals in this country!

At one stage this season the Giants were 6-6as is the way in modern day sport the wolves were scratching at coach Tom Coughlin’s door.

Eli Manning, stepped up and not only steered the giants into the Super Bowl with six straight wins but also to victory which earned him the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player for the second time.

Manning has earned two Super Bowl rings at the Patriot’s Tom Brady’s expense.

Going back to the regular season, the Giants are the first champion to be outscored, the first to surrender at least 400 points and the first to survive a four-game losing streak.

Many Gridiron experts are saying that this team will never be and should never be regarded as one of the greats after their last grasp 21-17 victory over New England but somehow we doubt that the coach, players and back room staff will worry about that as they gaze down at their Super Bowl rings and know they produced the goods when it mattered.
