Local Derby

The wrangle over the use of the Olympic Stadium in London continues, and in fact could add a bit of spice to a local derby should Leyton Orient and West Ham find themselves in the same division of English football.

West Ham look to e the favourites to be handed the keys are some extensive lobbying with the Lord Mayor of London Boris Johsnon and the London Legacy Development Corporation by the Hammers CEO Karren Brady.

However Leyton Orient owner and high profile sports promoter Barry Hearn who wants Orient to ground share with the Hammers on alternate weekends is threatening to seek a judicial review should West Hamm become the new sole tenants.

One has to ask why this was not all sorted out prior to the Olympic Games so that in 2013 the new tenant was ready to move in.
