Fowler in Purple?

Perth Glory has announced a press conference later this afternoon where it is expected that the club will announce that ex-Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler has joined Perth Glory.

This completely destroys the stories run by some media outlets that Fowler had fallen out with new Perth Glory assistant coach Ian Ferguson when the two were at North Queensland Fury.

This is a major coup by Tony Sage and Coach Dave Mitchell as it has been hard to attract talent to the West and maybe the times they are a changing. If Glory can make it to the Grand Final and start filling the stadium again, Perth may once again be an attractive proposition as a club to play for.

All the signs are good as Mitchell has completed his squad for next season with the expected signing of Fowler, the first time that the Glory has completed their signings so early before the next season.

If this is the expected announcement, let us hope that the team is successful and he pulls the crowds. Certainly Tony Sage cannot do much more to try and bring success to the club.

Great news, reckon Glry should do well this year, as they finally have a good blend of players although have to hope Coyne C and Todd stay fit.
