Not the Footy Show was a weekly sports radio show on 990RPH.
The aim of the show is to promote all sport except AFL which the shows creator feels receives plenty of coverage already.
Sports covered include football (world game please), rugby union and league, cricket as well as other sports that receive less coverage but are by no means lesser. Sports such as netball, hockey, tennis, athletics, boxing, muay thai, diving, gymnastics, calisthenics, gridiron, water polo, motor racing, cycling, squash and more.
Not the Footy Show also aims to feature different sports such as the ultimate world disc championships (that’s frisbee to you and me), floorball and painathlon to name just a few.
The idea for Not the Footy Show started many years ago but finally went to air in 2006 with its creator, Ashley Morrison, hosting the show. Ashley still hosts the show albeit with different co-hosts. Every Wednesday evening he is joined by John Lee and when available Hockeyroo Anna Flannagan.
